Introduction

Drug Development South Australia is a partnership between the State’s leading preclinical and clinical trial service providers and Bio Innovation SA, South Australia’s bioscience industry development organisation.

The partnership provides a complete, efficient offering of internationally renowned preclinical and clinical services and capabilities in South Australia. Through Drug Development South Australia, organisations undertaking drug development activities are able to access service providers involved in all stages of the process.

The objectives of Drug Development South Australia are to:

• Promote the capabilities and services offered by South Australia’s preclinical and clinical trial organisations locally, nationally and internationally;
  
• Assist biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies to engage appropriate preclinical and clinical trial partners and facilities in South Australia;
  
• Strengthen the interface between basic studies, clinical research and manufacturing.
